Terror Muda in Courier Justice

" As a teenager, the comic page at the back of the Vanguard Newspaper was the only page of interest to me because it contained the gritty comic series “Terror Muda” by Kola Fayemi. Today, as a filmmaker (with a particular love for both the Sci Fi and superhero genre) adapting my favorite Nigerian Comic series into a live feature is a dream come true. Now, Terror Muda (based off the comic) is an Okada Rider (i.e. Commercial motorcyclist) in the city of Lagos. However, considering Okada Riders have been banned in numerous areas in today’s Lagos, I found it interesting to reimagine what Terror Muda would be doing in such a scenario- Hence, the concept of a courier service was birthed. So, our story takes off years after Okada Riders have been banned and Muda is thrown into the labour marketing seeking a job as a delivery guy. I got excited when Kola Fayemi found this reimagining interesting. So I began scripting ASAP. And in no time I found myself with a dedicated cast and crew filming for two months. After which we spent five months in post working while enjoying every second of creating my debut feature. Cliché as it may sound, Terror Muda in Courier justice is a visually engaging work of art, with a simple and relatable plot line, spiced with both action and Sci-Fi elements."
